TASTING NOTES

First taster: Essi Avellan MW Note: Deep lemon color. Lovely toastiness stealing the show on the nose. Hazelnuts intertwined with perfumy fruit, gunpowder, flowers, and ripe peaches. Shows some building complexity. Fruity, succulent palate with fine intensity remaining. A lovely glassful, now peaking. Score: 92 Second taster: Alex Hunt MW Note: Mid-gold color but a bright, breezy, very malty nose. Mature but plenty of energy! In the mouth, bubbles are soft but plentiful, and there’s a real sense of cohesion with the maltyyeasty flavor, chalky grip, and precise structural balance. Delightful example of savory mature Champagne. Score: 92 Third taster: Tom Stevenson Note: Medium-pale straw-color, youthful looking, broad of beam, with chocolaty fruit and a smoky aftertaste. Score: 88
