One of the events at Champagne Fleury’s 30th anniversary of Organic and Biodynamic production, was an informative lecture by renowned geologist and terroir expert Claude Bourguignon. Claude spoke about how healthy soil allows the roots to grow down into the stones below. The minerality is then transferred into the vines above, promoting a full expression of the terroir within the grapes.
