Commences on the riverbanks of the Tours-sur-Marne, around Epernay, extending towards Paris.
Its soils are more variable. Pinot Meunier (59%) is the main grape variety and has a distinctive freshness that is much sought after for Champagne blends. With only two Grands Crus villages, Ay is renowned for its Pinot Vert Doré (Pinot Noir), Producing remarkable wines with exceptional body, delicate nose – qualities that bring finesse and backbone to the blend.
